Rod mooring buoys are a popular choice for open moorings for all types of watercrafts. They are probably the most robust construction available. The case has thick walls reinforced through tube connection. The rod and top eye is solid steel with a forged swivel all heavily galvanised and guided through the buoy with hard wearing plastic bushes at top and bottom.

Manufactured from a UV stabilised marine grade PVC, Anchor Marine’s inflatable buoys will not degrade. Rod mooring buoys can be pressure filled using marine grade polyurethane foam, to a density of 36kg/m3. Chain connection is made through the galvanised 18mm steel rod and forged swivel.  The Anchor Marine rod mooring buoy range provides reliability, quality and value for money. Special steels designed for corrosive water applications are also available upon request. Irremovable lettering and numbering can be moulded into the buoys at time of manufacture. This is ideal for identification.

The Anchor Marine valve is reliable and effective, allowing easy inflation and deflation, and is sealed using threaded plastic screw which is impossible to cross thread. The plastic design ensures seawater will not cause corrosion.

Anchor Marine’s rod mooring buoys have been mooring boats safely for more than 50 years however, we do not recommend using the large top eye for mooring connection.
