Awlcare is a protective polymer sealant designed to protect Awlgrip, Awlcraft 2000 and Awlgrip HDT from acid rain, environmental contaminants and abrasion. Leaves a non-yellowing protective coating that lasts through multiple washes.
Preserving the Awlgrip finish is a two-part process. Wash surfaces with AwlWash absorbent concentrate and follow with this sealer.
Never use traditional waxes on Awlgrip or AwlCraft polishes as they tend to break down quickly and cause a yellowish appearance. Traditional candles also attract dirt. AwlCare does not yellow and the protective coating lasts through multiple washes. Use to temporarily seal and restore gloss to painted surfaces dulled by age or abuse. Time to repaint? Use AwlPrep T0115 to remove AwlCare from the surface.
Application – Apply with an applicator or 100% cotton cloth. Do not apply Awlcare with mechanical devices, apply by hand only. Surface Preparation – Wash the surface with Awlwash concentrate, rinse and wipe dry.
Mixing and Diluting – Shake Awlcare well before application.
Application Instructions – Shake well and apply with a 100% cotton applicator or cloth. Awlcare can be applied in sun or shade and can be applied to large areas before removal. Allow to dry and wipe with a 100% clean, cotton towel.
Note – Awlgrip recommends washing the surface once a week to prevent dirt build-up. Use Awlwash Wash Down Concentrate to minimize removal of Awlcare's protective polymer sealant. Multiple layers may be needed to protect water runoff areas.
Temperature Range – The optimum surface/ambient range is 18 C/60 F to 35 C/95 F. Proper application and/or curing results may be more difficult to achieve when conditions are outside of this range. Do not apply paint materials to surfaces less than 3 C/5 F above the dew point. Do not apply to surfaces warmer than 41 C/105 F. Ambient temperature range should be 10 C/50 F to 41 C/105 F.
