Description
A rescue module designed to aid in recovery of a person overboard (MOB). Serves as a replacement for traditional rescue equipment like horseshoes, collars, and loops. The module complies with ISAF, RORC, and ORC regulations.
What It Does / Advantages
- Contains a marker buoy that is self-inflating upon activation of a lever in the container.
- Slim, lightweight white container that can be mounted easily on the rail with supplied clamps.
- Includes a gear pouch to fit additional safety items like AIS transponder, PLB, torch.
- Made of high-visibility retro-reflective polyester fabric; very noticeable even in poor weather. Reflective strips and a high-mounted automatic light on the mast provide visibility right after deployment, even in weak light.
- The mast has a red flag; the buoy has yellow, highly reflective material.
- Low freeboard for easy boarding; large ballast pocket and keel weight ensure module remains stable and boardable even in wind and waves.
- Comes with a 5 m throw line which can be thrown or passed to the rescuing vessel.
- Lift loop on the mast and reinforced lifting mechanism to assist in hoisting the casualty back on board.
- Dimensions when packed are 46 x 43 x 16 cm.
