Description
This completely waterproof and fully automatic bilge switch works with no moving parts or mechanical switch contacts. It is installed in the positive connection line between the bilge pump and the battery. Built-in electronics measure conductivity between three corrosion-resistant stainless steel sensors and switch the pump on as soon as the liquid level reaches the upper sensor surface. The pump is switched off again with a time delay (after approx. 5 seconds) as soon as the liquid level falls below the lower sensor surface. The delay prevents false starts of the pump and the backflow of water that may still be in the hose to the outboard side. Suitable for all 12 or 24 V submersible pumps or bilge pumps with a maximum current consumption of 20 A (12 V) or 10 A (24 V). Supplied without fixing material.
Note:
The float switch should be installed so that the water level at the pump and switch is at the same level. The base of the switch must be higher, but never lower, than the base of the pump.
