PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
An oil bath variable pitch spring receives and releases the main piston based on the load. A valve system at the head of the piston regulates the viscous resistance in the outward and return directions, favoring the return of the spring and attenuating the loads that the wave motion gives to our hull.
The result is an unprecedented ability to reduce oscillations.
THE INNOVATIVE CONSTRUCTION
Entirely made of top quality stainless steel, each Seares model has passed a salt spray simulation test of 10 years at sea. Each component is designed to resist oxidation and last over time, so as to allow Seares to offer a 3-year guarantee.
THERE IS NO SAFER BERTH!
Due to the construction characteristics, it is not possible to lose the connection to the mooring. In the remote possibility that the main spring will be damaged (3 year warranty), a second shock absorber still guarantees the basic functionality. Should the damage occur, we will immediately notice that the piston works at a reduced stroke, but don't worry, the Seadamp Steel shock absorbers can be serviced directly by Seares, they will return as efficient as just purchased.
